☄ 1 [voice | action]
[There's a fumbling noise, someone's fingers scraping across the journal after hitting 'record' and a low groan before the sound of crunching snow.]
Ugh... Jeez... I. Guess that explosion was bigger than I thought.
[beat.]
Wait-- Where is everyone.
[Ooooh nononnoo this is bad. More snow crunches as the speaker gets to his feet, steps on the journal. After a minute of fumbling, the speaker's voice is louder, the journal closer to him now]
Okay. New clothes and this thing. And- [Wings. Ooooh man.] This... is bad.
...Recording, huh? [A minute while he looks the menu over and then the recording stops. Well. May as well send this to whatever network it's connected to. Maybe someone has answers.]
[Action; Outside the village, the scenery only looks different from where he'd just been watching his friends fighting so far as the snow and village in the distance. Mountains? Check. Trees and open areas? Double check. He's making the mental note of not seeing his clothes or sword anywhere nearby either and decides making his way to the village may be the best idea to get an idea of what's going on. He'll be outside and around the village for anyone to run into.]

[He'd noticed most of the differences between the Vegeta he was just with and the one before him but the difference in his face is what finally hits him. He can't help but stare.]
And from the sounds of it, you've all been here a while.
[action]
I've been here the longest among those from our world. But not as long as some others. There's a woman here from what I understand has been here for five or six years now, maybe longer. I've only been here a little over a year. So not as long as you think.
[action]
[Really, he wouldn't have expected Vegeta to last in a place against his will this long. Or this calmly. But all that does is lead him back to staring and wondering how long it's actually been and what's happened to facilitate this change in him.]
Look-- About before.
[Say it, come on, he's not a monster or anything]
I'm... sorry for the confusion.
[action]
[That and he doesn't know how strong Trunks is yet and since 18 is here he really doesn't want them to get into a fight...]
[action]
He sighs quietly, watching his breath hit the air for a minute.]
So what's the plan then.
[action]
[action]
[Okay but. When has his father ever not had a plan in mind, even if it was just blast through everything head-first. That actually scares him a bit.]
... Wouldn't it be better to talk inside?
[Y'know. Where it's warm. And not freezing cold.]
[action]
The cold never bothered him anyway]I suppose. [His boots crunch against the snow as he goes to open the door once more, entering the house and discarding his boots to the side. He'll lead Trunks over the couch, not taking a seat himself of course.]
[Vegeta isn't even sure where to start. It's still blowing his mind that Mirai is here. He's completely forgotten about the mission conversation because he's still taking this in.]
Well? Are you going to be staying here with us then or going off on your own?
[action]
All while still trying to process everything else. His eyes are focused on the floor around Vegeta's feet, trying to make that call and it's such a ridiculous thing to feel so tense about but with everything...]
I don't know.
It might be a good idea to stay here a while.
[action]
[Vegeta might also be dancing around the subject of whether or not the act of Trunks coming back to help them save their time turned out okay. He just doesn't know how to approach it fully, especially after telling Trunks the androids were allies of theirs.]
[action]
God okay focus.]
I'm sure it can't be that bad.
[action]
[He too, looks at the ground for a second, feeling how awkward this was becoming.]
Listen, between you and...him. Did that meeting go well between the two of you? [Meaning his other self, of course.]
[action]
... I... Think it ended all right. He yelled a lot, but I think he was fine once he got it out.
[action]
[He can only imagine, really.]
[action]
[Couldn't be further from the truth, really.]
[action]
[what]
That's absurd. You coming back to the past more than necessary would have messed up the flow of time more than it already had been. He should know that, it's a scientific concept that was proven to us after you arrived the first time.
[So he's not exactly apologizing for Present!Trunks, but he's not exactly thrilled from hearing about that either.]
[action]
But that's what that was about.
[He's not gonna try to tell his counterpart what he should or shouldn't be upset about but all the same. He finally looks up at Vegeta, the tiniest hint of frustration there, dissuaded only by that foggy muddled feeling in the back of his mind. Notes the wings on his father's back; he wouldn't have guessed white for him.
In the end, he's only staring. Every question he thinks he might ask, he feels like he already knows the answers to.]
[action]
If that's the case then the two of you better keep it sorted out or else I'll remove you both from the house myself.
Now Trunks, I know it's your first night here but there's still much to be discussed. It's not a pressing matter however, so we will talk about it tomorrow after you get a chance to go through that guide in your journal.
[He takes his own out of his jacket pocket, flipping it open and walking over to Trunks to show him where the guide could be found.]
[action]
He leans a bit away when Vegeta gets close -- Not out of any problem or anything! Just. It's Vegeta and he's older and not a total dick and he's right there close by now. It was different when he was five or six steps away. He gets his pad out and follows what he did to get the guide on his own, already skimming over it a bit.]
Right.
So... The whole family's here?
[And do they need to be warmed up to the idea of him being here because he can just hide out in that room for as long as they need, this is throwing him for a loop so badly.]
[action]
[action]
It sounds like you guys got it worked out somehow, at least.
What else do I need to know.
[action]
Anyway, it's just as I said. I want you to go over that guide in your journal and read up on what's going on around here before I delve into some of the more important matters not covered there. Once you're done, I need to explain something to you so you have a better idea of what exactly to expect when these times of peace come to an end. We have lulls here where it's rather uneventful, but when something does crop up, it's often not pretty, understand?
[action]
[And looks down at the journal in his hands, nervous to look back up to him. This is a lot to take in in one sitting.]
Probably a conversation best had after some rest.
[action]
[He uncomfortably shifts, like he should say something, but he doesn't know how because he's just really awful sometimes with this sort of thing- and that feeling that he's already told him before is something he can't shake.]
You know I'm not going to act as if you're lower than dirt, don't you?
